Sunlight ledger is an open source database of invoices exposed to provide transparency to schools, individuals, and software vendors.
By releasing what is traditionally private data, we hope to help remove the ability of districts to engage in discriminatory pricing.
All data is free to use in any way, provided any calculated figures are cited as coming from Sunlight Ledger. By requiring this attribution, it allows anyone to correct the source of the data if they see an inacurate figure elsewhere. Calculated figures include averages, standard deviations, and seat costs calculated with unofficial data.
